Here are 5 other things you may not know about your local bike share:

We provide two transportation affordability programs which connect low-income and houseless neighbors to opportunity through affordable transportation, changing lives and building futures with rides that matter for the most important daily tasks such as employment, groceries, and healthcare.

Our ebikes create a thriving community. While participating in our programs, parents have reconnected with their families, adults with disabilities have obtained their first job ever, and minimum wage workers have earned promotions enabling them to get keys to their own residence.

PikeRide is funded through donations, state grants, business partnerships, membership purchases, and rides. Our grant funding for 2026 operates on a reimbursement model. This means we must spend funds up front before we can access grant dollars, and our Colorado Gives campaign is critical in supporting 2026 initiatives such as extending service to Southeast Colorado Springs.

We advocate for cycling in our community by serving on planning committees, providing millions of data points to infrastructure planners, offering free rides for civic engagement opportunities like voting and public open houses, and installing bicycle infrastructure including over 400 public bike racks and counting throughout downtown Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs.

We connect our community. In today’s culture, isolation is something that more and more people are experiencing.
PikeRide connects seniors to Community Centers, connects students to education, and connects neighborhoods - all creating the community we want to live in.
