MORE THAN JUST BIKE SHARE…

PikeRide launched in June of 2018 as a program of Downtown Ventures, the charitable nonprofit arm of Downtown Partnership in Colorado Springs. In 2019, PikeRide transitioned from pedal bikes to a full fleet of electric-assist bikes. This significant improvement expanded our reach, enabling us to better serve our community. During January 2020, PikeRide transitioned to operating under its own 501c3. Currently, PikeRide now operates more than 60 hubs, over 350 electric-assist bikes, and has added service in Manitou Springs.

PikeRide staff and board believe in serving and investing in our community. We have donated over 20,000 free rides, provided free bike valet at local events, regularly volunteer for projects, and we all love being able to live and work in this amazing place!

Thank you so much for your bicycle service. I live and work downtown, so I normally walk a couple of blocks to and from work. Last month I got a short-term gig watching a house for friends in the Old North End. The house was just a little too far to walk to (took too much time) so I joined your service.

As it turned out, the house that I was watching was a couple of blocks from the cafe at the corner of Corona and Columbia——and that cafe has a Pike Ride Check-in/Check-out Station. It was so easy to borrow a bike, make the commute, and return the bike. It took less than 15 minutes for the whole process. And it was so great NOT to have to find an open un-metered parking space for my old car.
