Advocating for Better Biking in Colorado Springs & Manitou Springs

 Cycling Advocacy

PikeRide actively supports a more bike-friendly community through advocacy, education, and engagement. Our work makes cycling safer and more accessible for more neighbors by advocating for cycling-inclusive planning, listening to and representing community voices, expanding the local cycling community, and more.

Your Local Bicycle Advocacy Organization

Since 2018, PikeRide has worked to make bicycling an accessible transportation option for thousands of residents and visitors across the Pikes Peak region. Through operating our community’s only bike share program, we’ve developed a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing those who bike in our community.

Bicycles are a powerful tool, and we believe they can transform communities. Bikes connect neighbors to work, to vital resources, to healthier physical and mental wellbeing, to time outdoors, and to each other.

Regardless of your reasons for riding, we actively work to make it safer and more accessible for you and others to enjoy spending time on a bike in Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs, and you can join us in shaping the community we want to live in.

We’re on a mission to advance our community through human-focused transportation. Alongside our nonprofit bike share arm, we’re closing the transportation gap in our local area and advocating for cycling access, safety, connection, and community.

That means:

  • Street designs and infrastructure with everyone's safety in mind.

  • More people choosing to bike for transportation, recreation, and everyday trips.

  • Better connections between neighborhoods, parks, schools, businesses, and trails.

  • A stronger culture that welcomes and encourages people on bikes.

  • Community members who have a voice in shaping the future of transportation.

We work at the local and state level to advocate for everyone who rides bikes, so that anyone from seasoned cyclists to casual commuters can feel safer, more connected, and heard.
